Armchair of exceptional quality (part of a magnificent suite with sofa, 2 sidechairs and sidetable which can be broken-up). Danube Monarchy (most likely Vienna), before 1825. Ebonized pearwood on oak, padded seat and seatback, shoulder board and columns in stained bird's maple. Giltwood-agles,-column-heads/bases,-balls with leaves. Fine bronze ormolu mounts.
