Established in 2004 by Eric Porter and John Phillips, Schematic is a New York based cabinet making and furniture studio located in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard, now an established hub of design studios and fabrication services providers.

Eric moved to New York City in 1996 to attend School of Visual Arts (MFA, 1998) and has worked and studied in the design and fabrication industry since the early 1990’s.

John attended San Francisco Art Institute (BFA) and moved to New York City in 1999. He has worked extensively in the industry for nearly 20 years. John currently resides in San Francisco.
